Mini Shopping Spree

These last couple of weeks have been so hectic. With the holiday season finally over, I can now breathe and take a little time to relax. So I went to the mall and found a couple of things I liked, and call it an excuse, but I decided to get myself a couple of things for the hard work I've put in this season. They're nothing much, but they caught my attention as i strolled by and passed the store windows. Truth be told I just got them because I wanted to, nothing more.

• Blue V-neck tee with bow detail in the pocket
• Gray tank top with white accents & bow with mini black polka dots
• Beige Lace Skirt
• High Waist Nautical shorts with gold details
• Penguin cosmetic kit (I use this to keep all my nail polish & nail products together)

You can never go wrong with H&M

So I was online window shopping (does that term even exist?) last night, and stumbled on a couple of things I want from H&M. I've always loved H&M, especially for the basics. Affordable and good quality too. Like I constantly keep repeating, you'll see a chain of blogs that say so, I'm trying to stick with the basics this year. So here are a number of finds I'd love to add to my closet.

Basic cuffed denim (I've been looking for a pair for quite a while now)

Pale pink & black cardi with little bow detail, just make it look a lil' more dressed up

Tan/Camel/Brown Bag enough to hold everything I lug around (plus I love how its a la Mulberry Alexa)

White Plimsolls

Basic black flats with bow

This awesome bag with birds (not so sure if those are doves). Been obsessed with bird designs and feathers as well as leaves for the past year now.

Red & navy scarf. Classic

Checkered Top in this color. Just cause I haven't seen a lot with this color combo.

Varsity Jacket. Ever since I can remeber I've always wanted one.

These Camis. Couldn't resist. I love 'em in both colors!

Pale pink Stripe sweater. Looks adorable & warm.

These Bangles in all 3 colors. Staples! I love them.

Wrap bracelets. I love how they come in 2 classic colors with gold and silver details, plus the charms are leaves. I want both too!

White loose top

White & navy stripe dress with sleeves. Need i say more?

Denim loose top. Perfect with white denims or shorts

Over sized button down shirt. 'Cos they're comfy

White & Black Fedora. I own straw ones & this would be awesome!

Bright Scarf. Perfect for muted outfits (i.e. black or white tops) this would just add that splash of color

There's Always a First Time for Everything

I turned 21 September of last year, and believe it or not, I've never owned a single piece of make up in my life. Well, maybe lip gloss or lip glasses, but that's the most I've got. I've never been one to obsess over beauty products. I know a lot of girls who would tell their childhood stories and say they've experimented or rather, played with their mom's/granny's make up. I think that only happened to me once, and when I did play with my granny's make up, i broke her lipstick. What a total disaster!

I've never been drawn to make up, 'cos I've always felt it uses up too much time to apply and that It's so heavy on the face too. I've got huge pores and therefore have extra oily skin. Sucks to be me! Oh, and did I mention I've got pimples, too?

So a couple of months last year, I joined tumblr, and this is what got me to love make up. Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a bit of a hassle, and a bit heavy, that's why I've chosen a few products I think would suit my personality. Light & Natural is what I want to achieve.
